Consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Serbia

On October 6, 2016 Belgrade hosted Consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Serbia.



The Belarusian delegation was headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alena Kupchyna, the Serbian delegation was led by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dragan Momčilović.



The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Branimir Filipović, also took part in the Consultations.

During the consultations, the sides discussed a wide range of issues of Belarusian-Serbian cooperation, including the development of political relations between Belarus and Serbia, trade, economic, scientific, technical, cultural and inter-regional cooperation, as well as enhancement of the legal framework of bilateral relations.

The parties also discussed current issues on the international agenda, cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Serbia with the EU, collaboration within international organizations, including in the frame of the UN, OSCE, UNESCO, and aspects of international and regional security.

The sides also discussed issues of cooperation between Belarus and Serbia during the Presidency of Belarus of the CEI in 2017.
